International Film Festival Venetia


Wednesday night started the International Film Festival Venetia is the 67th.

The festival opened with the movie thriller 'Black Swan' from director Darren Aronofsky about the world of American Ballet in New Yok.

Director Marco Müller, who became director of the Rotterdam Film Festival from 1989 to 1991, presents 79 movie premiere. 24 films from 12 countries, six of them from America, gaining the award statue 'Gold Lion' to be selected by an international jury chaired by American director Quentin Tarantino.

The documentary 'The Forgotten Sea' from director Allan Sekulla and Noël Burch will dipertandingan films in the category of new trends. Film on container transportation by sea, it is a production of Frank and Joost van Reemst Verheij of Amsterdam in collaboration with Film Wildart from Vienna, Austria.

International Film Festival Venetia lasted until 11 September
